Building Your Funnel Landing Page
Every funnel in LeadCapture comes with a built-in landing page. The landing page wraps your lead form with supporting content like headlines, images, videos, and text blocks, giving you a complete, hosted page you can share or drive traffic to. You can also skip the landing page entirely and embed your form directly on your own website.
How the Landing Page Works
The landing page and form are built together in the same builder. Your form is automatically embedded on the landing page, and you add content blocks around it. The builder is an all-in-one workspace:
- Left Panel – Block palette for adding elements (when nothing is selected), or element/step settings (when something is selected).
- Center Canvas – Live preview of your landing page with the form embedded.
- Right Panel – Your form steps list.
Adding Content Blocks
- Click on an empty area of the canvas to deselect any current selection.
- The left panel shows the block palette with available element types.
- Click a block type to add it, or drag it from the palette to a specific position on the canvas.
- Drop zones appear between blocks to show where the new element will be placed.
Available Block Types
| Block Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Headline | Large text for page titles and section headers. |
| Text Block | Body text for descriptions, benefits, and supporting copy. |
| Image | Upload and display images with optional alt text and click-through links. |
| Video | Embed YouTube videos on your page. |
| Custom Code | Add custom HTML, CSS, or JavaScript directly to the page. |
The Form Block
Your form is always present on the landing page. It appears as a special block that you can reposition but cannot delete. Here are the key rules:
- The form is added automatically when you create a funnel. You do not need to add it manually.
- You can move the form up or down on the page using the arrow buttons.
- You cannot delete the form, but you can hide it using the visibility toggle (the eye icon). This is useful for thank-you pages or content-only pages.
- Content blocks placed above the form appear in the main content area. The form itself sits in its own section. Blocks placed below the form appear in a full-width area beneath it.
Editing Blocks
- Click a block on the canvas to select it. A border highlights the selected element.
- The left panel switches to show the element editor with two tabs: Content and Style.
- Edit the block's content (text, image source, video URL) in the Content tab.
- Adjust spacing, colors, borders, and shadows in the Style tab.
Reordering Blocks
Use the up and down arrow buttons on any block to change its position on the page. You can also drag blocks from the palette to a specific position. Drop zones between blocks expand to show exactly where the new element will land.
Block Visibility
Every block has an eye icon for controlling visibility. When you hide a block:
- It appears dimmed in the builder with a "Hidden on public page" label.
- It is not visible to visitors on the live landing page.
- The block's settings are preserved, so you can show it again later.
Page Background and Font
In the Page Settings section (accessible when no block is selected), you can set:
- Background Color – The page-level background color.
- Global Font – The font used across all text on the page. You can override the font on individual blocks.
Landing Page URL
Every funnel automatically gets a hosted URL in the format app2.leadcapture.io/p/your-path. You can customize the path in the Publish tab or connect a custom domain. See also: Publishing Your Funnel and Setting Up Custom Domains.
Pro Tips
- You do not need a landing page to use your funnel. If you plan to embed the form on your own website, the landing page is optional.
- If no landing page content is configured, visiting the landing page URL will display just the form as a standalone element. This gives you a clean, hosted form without any surrounding content.
- Use the responsive preview buttons (Desktop, Tablet, Mobile) to check how your landing page looks on different screen sizes before sharing.
- The AI Copilot can help you build landing page content. Try "add a headline that says Get Your Free Quote" or "add a text block with three bullet points about our coverage."
