Landing Page Elements (Headlines, Text, Images, Videos)
Landing page elements are the content blocks you place around your form to create a complete, hosted page. Each element type serves a different purpose, from bold headlines that grab attention to embedded videos that explain your offer. This article covers how to use each element type and style it to match your brand.
Headline
Headlines are large, bold text blocks for page titles, section headers, and key messages.
- Click the block to edit the text directly.
- Use the Style tab to change font size, color, alignment, font family, and weight.
- Headlines support personalization tags (see Personalization Tags article).
Place a strong headline above your form to communicate your value proposition. For example, "Get Your Free Home Insurance Quote in 60 Seconds."
Text Block
Text blocks are for body copy, descriptions, bullet points, and supporting content.
- Enter your text in the Content tab. You can write multiple paragraphs.
- Use the Style tab for font size, color, alignment, line height, and spacing.
- Text blocks also support personalization tags.
Use text blocks to list benefits, explain the process, or set expectations for what happens after the lead submits the form.
Image
Image blocks let you upload and display photos, graphics, logos, and illustrations on your landing page.
- Add an Image block from the palette.
- Click the upload area or drag and drop an image file.
- Once uploaded, configure the following settings:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Width | Set the image width in pixels or percentage. |
| Height | Set a specific height or leave as auto to maintain aspect ratio. |
| Max Width | Limit the maximum width so images do not stretch on large screens. |
| Alt Text | Describe the image for accessibility and SEO. Screen readers use this text. |
| Link URL | Make the image clickable by adding a destination URL. |
Images automatically scale down on mobile devices to fit the screen width.
Video
Video blocks embed YouTube videos directly on your landing page. They are great for testimonials, product demos, or explainer content.
- Add a Video block from the palette.
- Paste the YouTube video URL in the Content tab.
- Adjust the width using the Style tab. The video player maintains its aspect ratio automatically.
The video is embedded using a standard player that works on desktop and mobile browsers.
Custom Code
Custom Code blocks let you add raw HTML, CSS, or JavaScript directly to the page. Use this for:
- Custom widgets or embeds from third-party tools
- Advanced styling with CSS
- Interactive elements not available as standard blocks
Enter your code in the Content tab. It will be rendered on the live page exactly as written.
Styling Any Element
Every element on the landing page supports a common set of style controls:
| Style Category | Options |
|---|---|
| Spacing | Margin (outside spacing) and padding (inside spacing), each with top, right, bottom, and left controls. |
| Background | Background color with hex color input. |
| Border | Border width, color, style (solid, dashed, dotted), and corner radius. |
| Shadow | Preset shadow options: none, extra small, small, medium, large, and extra large. |
| Font | Override the global page font with a different font for this specific block. |
Mobile-Specific Styles
Each element supports separate mobile overrides for visitors on smaller screens:
- Click the device toggle icons in the element editor to switch between Desktop and Mobile editing modes.
- In Mobile mode, any changes you make will only apply on screens smaller than 768 pixels wide.
- A blue indicator appears on any setting that has a mobile override.
- Click "Reset to desktop" on any field to remove the mobile override and inherit the desktop value.
Mobile overrides are available for all style properties: spacing, background, border, shadow, font size, text color, and alignment.
Pro Tips
- Hover over any block on the canvas to reveal quick-edit icons for Content and Style without opening the full settings panel.
- Use a bold headline, a brief text block with 2 to 3 benefit bullets, and then the form. This simple layout consistently delivers strong conversion rates.
- Add alt text to all images. It improves accessibility for screen reader users and helps search engines understand your page content.
- Keep your landing page focused on a single offer or action. Avoid adding too many elements that might distract from the form.
