Phone Enrichment & Contact Score

Phone Enrichment validates phone numbers in real time and returns detailed intelligence about each number, including an Activity Score that measures how actively the phone is being used. This helps you prioritize leads with reachable, active phone numbers and filter out disconnected or risky numbers before they reach your sales team.

What Phone Enrichment Returns

When a lead enters a phone number, Phone Enrichment provides the following data points:

Activity Score (0-100)

The Activity Score measures the phone number's recent usage patterns. Higher scores indicate a more active, reachable phone number.

Score Range Label What It Means
70-100 High Activity Frequent phone usage. This number is actively used and very likely reachable.
31-69 Moderate Activity Sporadic usage. The number is somewhat active.
0-30 Low Activity Minimal or no recent usage. The number may be disconnected or inactive.

Phone Intelligence Data

Data Point Description
Phone Validity Whether the phone number is valid and in service.
Line Type Mobile, landline, VoIP, or toll-free.
Carrier The phone carrier (e.g., Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile).
Country Country the number is registered in, with calling code.
Prepaid Status Whether the number is a prepaid (disposable) phone.
TCPA Litigator Risk Whether the phone number belongs to a known TCPA litigator. Shows "Risk" or "Clear".

How It Works

  1. A visitor enters a phone number in your funnel.
  2. LeadCapture validates the number in real time.
  3. The enrichment data is attached to the lead record.
  4. You can view the Contact Score and all data points on the lead detail page.

Enabling Phone Enrichment

  1. Open your funnel in the builder.
  2. Go to the Settings tab.
  3. Enable Phone Validation.
  4. Save your funnel.

Phone Enrichment runs automatically for every lead that includes a phone number, as long as the feature is enabled and your account has credits available.

Credits

Phone Enrichment costs 1 credit per validation. Credits are deducted when the validation is performed, not when the lead is submitted.

  • If the same phone number is validated multiple times in a short window, cached results are used at no additional credit cost.
  • If your account runs out of credits, enrichment is skipped and the lead proceeds without phone intelligence data.

Viewing Contact Score

On the lead detail page, the Contact Score card displays:

  • The Activity Score as a large number with color coding (blue for high, amber for moderate, red for low).
  • A grid of phone intelligence data points: validity, line type, carrier, country, prepaid status, and TCPA litigator risk.

If no phone validation data is available (feature not enabled or no phone number provided), the card shows a message to enable Phone Validation on the funnel.

Using Contact Score in Your Workflow

The Activity Score and phone intelligence data help you:

  • Prioritize outreach: Call leads with high Activity Scores first since they are most likely to answer.
  • Filter low-quality leads: Identify leads with invalid, disconnected, or prepaid numbers.
  • Assess TCPA risk: Flag leads with TCPA litigator risk before adding them to calling campaigns.
  • Segment by line type: Route mobile numbers to SMS campaigns and landlines to call campaigns.

Pro Tips

  • The Activity Score is available on each lead detail page and in the Leads table as a sortable column.
  • Phone Enrichment runs alongside (not instead of) Phone Verification (OTP). You can use both: OTP confirms the visitor owns the number, while enrichment provides intelligence about the number itself.
  • The TCPA Litigator Risk flag helps you avoid costly TCPA lawsuits by identifying known litigators before you contact them.
  • Prepaid phone status is a useful indicator for lead quality, as prepaid numbers are sometimes associated with temporary or lower-intent leads.
