Understanding Verification & AI Credits

LeadCapture uses a credit system to pay for verification, enrichment, and AI features. All credits come from a single shared pool on your account, making it easy to manage your balance and track usage.

What Credits Are Used For

Credits are consumed when you use the following features:

Service What It Does
Email Verification Checks whether an email address is valid and deliverable in real time as leads submit your funnel.
Phone Verification (OTP) Sends a one-time passcode via SMS to verify a phone number is real and reachable. Cost varies by destination country.
Phone Validation & Enrichment Validates a phone number and returns enrichment data such as line type, carrier, and an activity score.

Each service consumes a different number of credits per use. Phone OTP costs vary by country because international SMS delivery costs differ significantly.

AI Features and Credits

AI features (Build with AI, AI Copy Generation, and AI Copilot Chat) use a separate free generation pool that resets monthly based on your plan:

Each AI action (one copy generation, one Copilot message, one Build with AI generation) counts as 1 free generation. When your free generations run out, AI features fall back to consuming credits from your shared pool.

Checking Your Balance

You can see your current credit balance in several places:

  • Sidebar - The left sidebar shows your credit balance with color coding: green when healthy, amber when low, and red when depleted.
  • Credits page - Go to Credits in the sidebar for a detailed breakdown of your balance, usage history, and service costs.
  • Funnel settings - The verification settings in the builder show your current balance so you know if you have enough credits before enabling verification.

What Happens When Credits Run Out

If your credit balance reaches zero:

  • Verification and enrichment features are automatically skipped for incoming leads. Your funnels continue to work and capture leads; they just will not be verified.
  • AI features that have exhausted free generations will show an error message with links to purchase credits or upgrade your plan.
  • No leads are ever lost because of a zero credit balance. Lead capture always takes priority.

Getting Credits

There are two ways to add credits to your account:

  • Initial allocation - When you subscribe to a paid plan, you receive a one-time credit allocation (the amount depends on your plan).
  • Purchasing additional credits - Buy credit packages from the Credits page at any time. See the "Purchasing Credits & Auto-Rebill" article for details.

Usage History

The Credits page includes a 12-month usage chart that shows how many credits you have consumed per month, broken down by service. This helps you forecast future credit needs and identify which services consume the most credits.

Good to Know

  • Credits are shared across your entire account, including all funnels and team members.
  • Credits purchased separately do not expire. They remain in your pool until used.
  • Free AI generations reset at the start of each billing period. Unused free generations do not carry over.
  • The sidebar turns red when credits are depleted, giving you a clear visual warning.
  • Trial accounts do not receive any credits. Subscribe to a paid plan to get your initial allocation.
