Pausing or Canceling Your Account
If you need to take a break or close your account, LeadCapture offers both pause and cancel options. Pausing preserves your data at a minimal cost, while canceling permanently removes your account after a grace period.
Pausing Your Account
Pausing is the best option if you plan to come back. Your funnels, leads, integrations, domains, and all other data are preserved while your account is inactive.
How to Pause
- Go to Settings in the sidebar.
- Scroll down to the Danger Zone section at the bottom of the Account tab.
- Click Cancel or Pause Account.
- In the modal that appears, select Pause Account.
- Complete the brief exit survey (select a reason and provide additional details).
- Type PAUSE to confirm.
- Click the confirmation button.
What Happens When Paused
- Your subscription is reduced to a small monthly holding fee to keep your data safe.
- Your funnels stop accepting new leads. Visitors will see a "temporarily unavailable" message.
- Your dashboard is locked behind a pause screen showing your original plan and a Resume button.
- All your data (funnels, leads, analytics, integrations, domains) is fully preserved.
Resuming After a Pause
- Log in to your account. You will see the paused account screen.
- Click Resume Account.
- Your original plan is restored with prorated billing.
- Your funnels immediately start accepting leads again.
- All your settings, integrations, and configurations are exactly where you left them.
Canceling Your Account
Canceling permanently closes your account. After a 30-day grace period, all data is permanently deleted.
How to Cancel
- Go to Settings in the sidebar.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone section.
- Click Cancel or Pause Account.
- In the modal, select Cancel Account.
- Complete the exit survey.
- Type CANCEL to confirm.
- Click the confirmation button.
What Happens When Canceled
- Your subscription is canceled immediately.
- Your funnels stop accepting leads right away.
- Your dashboard is locked behind a cancellation screen.
- A 30-day grace period begins. During this time, you can still reactivate by subscribing to a new plan.
- After 30 days, all data is permanently and irreversibly deleted: leads, funnels, analytics, delivery logs, integrations, domains, and images.
Reactivating After Cancellation
Within the 30-day grace period, you can reactivate by logging in and choosing a new plan from the paywall screen. Your data will still be intact. After the 30-day window, reactivation is not possible and you would need to create a new account.
Retention Offers
Depending on the reason you selected in the exit survey, you may be shown a retention offer before the pause or cancellation is finalized. For example, if you selected "Issues getting set up" or "Product/technical issues," you may be offered hands-on assistance. If you selected performance-related concerns, a strategy session may be offered. These offers are optional and will not prevent you from pausing or canceling if that is what you prefer.
Good to Know
- We recommend pausing instead of canceling if there is any chance you may return. Pausing preserves everything at a minimal cost.
- Export your leads before canceling if you need to keep the data. After the 30-day grace period, deletion is permanent.
- The exit survey helps us improve the product. Your feedback is genuinely appreciated.
- You can cancel from a paused state as well. The same 30-day grace period applies.
